DANIELA SPRING
SUMMER COLLECTION
The
Antica Murrina
Daniela Spring Summer collection continues to
combine innovative design with the traditional methods of
Venetian glass blowing to consolidate its own unique and
distinctive niche in the fashion arena. This season glows with
colour as the transparent and light reflective nature of each
glass piece radiates with an ethereal quality. With the aim of
creating a luxury house with accessibility, Antica Murrina
ensures that its detailing is exceptionally polished with each
stone being very finely worked and finished by hand creating a
very individual experience for each viewer.
The Daniela collection
has 4 distinct themes running through it which are all linked
through the quality of the glass. The first one, the
‘Sugar series’ sees a
sumptuous, mouth watering delight of texture and sugar finished
designs fit for a fantasy world. Irregular shapes, grainy
surfaces and delicate lollipop shades in amethyst, powder pink,
green and steel–gold create a rainbow of dewy treats just
waiting to be devoured. As the light hits the dappled face of
the beads in the Sweet
and Sugar ranges the
rich and luxurious nature of each necklace, bracelet, ring and
earrings is exposed. The
Candy necklace makes a statement with its alternate sugared
bulbs, chrome links and glass beads.
The second grouping is the
‘Tribal series’ which
sees a deviation into an exotic, earthy feel.
This line is
distinguished by a special grinding process which produces
abstract tribal markings which are then highlighted by the
exposure of a contrasting colour within the ground notches. The
Dakota,
Alabama and Indiana lines use hammered metal rings
throughout which have a distinctive worn surface to further
develop the intriguing cultural tones of this series.
Crystal
beads are used throughout each set in this series to give a
subtle embellished contrast to each piece.
The irregular shapes of each glass boule in this next
‘Transparent series’ support the translucent and airy quality of
Antica Murrina, as light bounces off the jagged edges of the
beads. This series uses a cracked ice effect and keeps all
original veining in every glass peace making each set unique
from the next. The
Alaska
necklace radiates a glowing feel with the use of gold and
rhodium metal leaves along side the lucid stones. The colourways
range from steel to powder through to amber, which evokes
memories of a glowing golden Autumn afternoon. The shorter
Kiruna necklace
follows the same theme with 3 cracked glass beads as the centre
point, contrasted with metal links and descending balls.
The last line named the
‘Party series’, sees a play on shape and colour. It reflects
a youthful playfulness with a mix of half moon, circle, diamond
and irregular shapes combined with strong, contrasting colour.
The Party and
Cocktail sets are
teamed back with kidney bean shaped chain links with the latter
using its length to create a statement. The
Spritz necklace uses
the same combination of random shapes as a pendant on a leather
rope chain.

Daniela collection is stocked in Boutiques around
